Jubilee Justice

Mission: Jubilee Justice is working to heal and transform the wounds suffered by the people and the land through reparative genealogy and regenerative agriculture.

Q: What’s the most effective way to support your work?

A: We would be happy to receive funding as we are in the process this year of building a rice mill that will be cooperatively owned by the farmers in our cohort. So we are in a campaign to raise $300k. Any help with this would be greatly received.

One Girl

Mission: One Girl works to break down the barriers that girls face in accessing education by running girl-led programs in Sierra Leone and Uganda to drive positive change for girls and their communities.

Q: Have you had any 1% for the Planet member contributions that have gone toward specific projects or initiatives in the past that were particularly impactful?

A:
Thanks to the support of our donors including 1% for the Planet members, we are able to recruit a new cohort of girls to the Girls In School program in 2022. Through the program we support girls in junior secondary school in Sierra Leone with essential school supplies, sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene management education & life skills training, as well as create safe spaces for girls to make new friends, share their stories and voice their thoughts and opinions on issues that they are passionate about.

Greening Youth Foundation

Mission: Greening Youth Foundation works to engage under-represented youth and young adults, while connecting them to the outdoors and careers in conservation. GYF’s cultural based environmental education programming engages children from local communities and exposes them to healthy lifestyle choices in order to create an overall healthy community.

Q: Have you had any 1% for the Planet member contributions that have gone toward specific projects or initiatives in the past that were particularly impactful?

A:
GYF received services from 3i Creative Communications in the latter part of 2021. The 3i team created new brochures for several of our programs including our HBCUI program along with a general brochure for our organization. These materials will allow our team to present a more updated and polished appearance when working with outward facing clients and potential partners.

Q: What’s the most effective way to support your work?

The best way to support the Greening Youth Foundation is to continue to share our work and vision with your networks. Of course, we, like most nonprofits, can always use your financial support as well as in-kind services to further our reach and mission. Both in-kind and financial donations are welcomed.

Soul River

Mission: Soul River's work is focused on bringing veterans as mentors and inner city youth together into the wild rivers of nature. They inspire youth by becoming guardians, teachers and role models as an act of service.

Qa: Have you had any 1% for the Planet member contributions that have gone toward specific projects or initiatives in the past that were particularly impactful?

Yes, both organizations Soul River Inc. and Love is King have received help from Grayl financially, we have also received their products! Their help has made a huge impact on both organizations.

Qb: What’s the most effective way to support your work?

The most effective way to support is providing resources as we are in outdoor spaces doing logistically hard expeditions with youth of color, veterans and BIPOC Leaders. Being able to have access to resources helps out greatly. Second is financial support which is critical for us as a way to reduce cost. Last, we always need volunteers with skills!
