Rochelle Webb

Rochelle is the founder of Optimist Made, which is the new way of shopping around the world, without actually going there yourself.  It makes the inaccessible, accessible. It delivers an unconventional way of chasing retail therapy by taking the customer on an illustrative journey when sourcing product and then creating a platform that shares those products to the US market while giving developing fashion designers a destination where they can have a voice to be discovered. All the while helping the entrepreneurs that she partners with, learn how to scale their businesses. Alongside being an entrepreneur, Rochelle is part of the clinical faculty team at Loyola Marymount University.

Rochelle has specialized in global brand marketing across entertainment, retail and technology sectors. She has proven experience working with brands such as Activision (Franchise: Call of Duty), Quiksilver (Brands: DC Shoes, Quiksilver, Roxy), Apple (Product: iPhone) and Visa. She is globally recognized for her record-breaking brand and product launches where she won media plan of the year and a Grand Effie for Call of Duty’s Black Ops 2 and MW3 product launches, which at that time were the biggest entertainment properties of all time and generated $1 billion in 15 days. She has successfully led all global planning and execution of marketing activation initiatives in over 175 markets around the world. She eventually left corporate America to run her own marketing and business strategy consultancy, The Dialectic Compound, aiding start-ups with their growth strategy and execution. She felt that new ventures deserved an opportunity to succeed regardless of the fact that they were lacking resources.

Rochelle also sits as a Board Member for the 1% for the Planet, Compton Community College, Ad Relief and the LA Chapter for the Haas School of Business. She is also an active member of The Council for Women of Boston College. Rochelle has also advised many start-ups, such as, Neat Capital, Blue Fever, Vagenie, as well as, the Make in LA Accelerator. She completed her undergraduate studies at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA and graduated with her MBA from UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business in Berkeley, CA.
