About Us

For thousands of years our waters were alive with wild salmon. Over the past century, human activities and environmental changes have led to a dramatic decline in the number of salmon returning to spawn in our rivers.

Since 1991, the North Olympic Salmon Coalition has passionately worked to reverse this trend. Our mission is to restore, enhance and protect habitat of North Olympic Peninsula wild salmon stocks and to promote community volunteerism, understanding, cooperation and stewardship of these resources.

Our restoration work supports the preservation of habitat that is CRITICAL to wild pacific salmon, including all five Endangered Species Act listed stocks. We increase the odds of salmon survival by enhancing habitat, creating volunteer stewards and educating tomorrow's leaders.
