Western Reserve Land Conservancy is a private, nonprofit conservation organization based in Northeast Ohio dedicated to preserving our region’s essential natural assets. Created in 2006 when eight local land trusts voluntarily merged, the Land Conservancy is Ohio's largest land trust and among the top 5 in the United States. Serving a 17-county region of northern Ohio, Western Reserve Land Conservancy has permanently protected 604 properties totaling more than 45,000 acres. In 2012 the Land Conservancy recorded what is believed to be the state of Ohio’s largest ever land conservation transaction when a 3,100-acre Trumbull County farm was protected.
MISSION: To provide the people of our region with essential natural assets through land conservation and restoration.
