Vermont Community Garden Network
Gardening, Local Agriculture, Programs
The Vermont Community Garden Network supports and connect the state's 370+ community and school garden groups and provides hands-on garden education for families, adults, and seniors. We believe in the power of people growing food together to reduce hunger and build community!
We work to ensure that everyone has access to space to grow food in community settings, and to the information, resources, and encouragement needed to be successful by:
1) Growing Gardens through technical assistance, volunteer projects, seeds and supplies, and small grants and guidance for community and school groups;
2) Growing Gardeners though our Community Teaching Garden program for adults, Gardens For Learning program for children at risk of summertime hunger, senior and family gardening programs, and community workshops; and
3) Growing Garden Leaders through workshops around the state, farm to school trainings, outreach, online resources, and connecting leaders to each other.
