It may be summer in Brussels, but the PANGEA Team continue to work hard carrying out research and working on new reports for the Fall.
Back in June we hosted a forum on Bioenergy for Sustainable Transport in Africa as part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2014, and we will soon have the full report ready from that so keep an eye on our website!
Now PANGEA would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest member, Bio Green Investment East Africa Ltd!
Bio Green Investment East Africa Ltd is a private company established and incorporated in Uganda in 2010. The company’s core activity is in the sector of Renewable Energy, Ethanol and Electricity Cogeneration. Bio Green Investment is currently sourcing partners for a joint venture/partnerhip to execute its ventures. It seeks to become a leader in the Renewable Energy sector in Uganda and the East African Community; across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda. The company is in the process of establishing a Sorghum plant in Uganda. This plant will use Sweet Sorghum stems as feed stock to produce 20 million litres of Ethanol and 10MW of electricity.
It also seeks a partner to finance construction of a modern grain milling plant and storage silos in Uganda.
