Amphibians of the Amazon Basin, with Katy Upton
Funding for amphibian research is extremely difficult to come by, especially as many people do not realize quite how important and threatened amphibians are. Funding is often easier for species which are deemed to be more “charismatic” however when looking at some frogs I really think they are a million times more charismatic than any cute fluffy mammal! Luckily I was able to get funding for my research through my universities Alumni Scholarship (University of Kent). This is available to past students who return to undertake a PhD, it is fully funded by alumni of the university who want to give something back. Without this funding my research would be almost impossible. This film was created to showcase some of the work I have been able to undertake and as a thank you too all the alumni who donated money to my research and many others.
