The Butale Project
One of our Frugi crusaders Annie has a very special appeal that she needs your help with…
“Most of you know the story about my heart wrenching moment of donating my little girls ‘first shoes’ to a charity in Africa called The Butale Project.
The Butale Project need second hand children’s shoes to help prevent the school children in Africa get crippling bugs in their feet and the thought just broke my heart…
To my surprise several weeks later I received a picture of my donated shoes on Dorcas who is a young orphan…. However Miriam who runs the charity also told me that they didn’t have enough shoes to go round…. well…..
Every Child Deserves Shoes, so this is a huge request to donate your children’s second hand shoes to The Butale Project and post them to the following address
The Butale Project Shoes, 130 London Road, Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 9NH.
We have teamed up with Pediped (www.pediped.com) a leading children’s shoe manufacturer in the UK and they have pledged to donate a pair of shoes for each donation made.
As a big “thank you ever so much” for all your support – if you put your child’s name in your favourite pair of donated shoes, plus £1 in the shoe to help with shipping – we will post a picture on Facebook of your donated shoes on their new owner once they get to Africa.
Please share this post to as many people who you know who will be able to help.
