4 Things Your Foundation Brush Can Do
A good foundation brush is a staple in any makeup kit, but did you know it can do more than apply foundation? You can multi-task your foundation brush whether you’re using a flat foundation brush, retractable foundation brush or a foam applicator sponge brush. Here are 4 ways to use your foundation brush:
- Apply Sheer Foundation: Foundation brushes work great for full foundation, BB creams, tinted moisture or, if they’re synthetic bristles (like our are), you can apply powder and mineral foundation too. If you’re looking for a more sheer version of the foundation you’re using, gently dampen the brush or sponge with water before applying.
- Whisk Away Flecks: If your dark shadow happens to let little flakes and specks fall on the tops of your cheeks and under eyes, don’t despair! Use your foundation brush, before wiping excess foundation off, to whisk away any fallen shadow. The leftover foundation will help hide any that doesn’t wipe away easily.
- Apply Sunscreen and Moisturizer: You don’t have to use potentially oily fingers to apply foundation or sunscreen, use your foundation brush. Swiping on a powder sunscreen after a cream foundation? Switch brushes and use a kabuki brush for powder sunscreens.
- Blend concealer: Dabbing on concealer with a small concealer brush is the best for delicate under eye areas, but if you’re blending concealer on your chin or nose, your foundation brush can pull double duty and make sure those edges are perfectly smoothed out.
