Paddle + Pig Out in Paoli is just two weeks away…

The Paddle + Pig Out in Paoli is coming up Saturday, August 17.

The annual Paddle + Pig-Out in Paoli is more than just a free community paddling event.  It’s an opportunity to make a connection with your river – the Sugar River.  The upper portion of the Sugar River winds through forested areas, farmland, and critical wetland areas.  We’re offering you a chance to come paddle 45 minutes of the river in hopes that you too will recognize its unique beauty and ecological importance, and maybe someday join us in the work that we do to preserve the Sugar River and its upland environments.

Canoe trips are first come, first served, so please do arrive early to ensure that you get a spot. Canoes, paddles, and life jackets will be provided for you.  Thank you to Rutabaga Paddle Sports, Capitol Water Trails, and our other sponsors for providing additional boats for the event! Trips will depart at 9AM, 12PM, and 3PM.

Event agenda:
8:30AM: Registration opens
9AM: 1st canoe trip departs
10:30AM: Outdoor yoga with Marca Hughes
11:00AM-1:30PM: Lunch catered by Paoli Local Foods (free to members, non-members can purchase for $5). Live music by Emerald Grove (a local Madison band) during lunch!
