Collared Greens is a classic American lifestyle brand that produces a distinctive line of neckwear, knits and t-shirts, belts, and accessories. What sets it apart is the company’s commitment to supporting American jobs and protecting the environment. Collared Greens has incorporated an eco-consciousness into its brand since its founding in 2008 by using organic cotton, recycled packaging materials, and manufacturing all of its products in the U.S.
The company’s founder, R. Randolph Ashton, realized the importance of protecting the environment while photographing his second book, A Celebration of Salmon Rivers, for the North Atlantic Salmon Fund. Photographing 80 north Atlantic salmon rivers in 14 countries, Randy witnessed the effects of environmental change and wanted to create a company that supported conservationists on the front lines.
Randy says Collared Greens is proud and thankful to be a 1% for the Planet member because “the environment is everything. It gives us life, joy and one big natural playground.” Collared Greens supports a number of nonprofits in the 1% for the Planet network, including the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the North Atlantic Salmon Fund, and Trout Unlimited.
